This is the male leopard I call the Golden Boy. I saw him last year and we found him again on Sunday and again on Monday. He’s such a placid cat. But he’s built like an All Black prop ! He’s solid and powerful and you wouldn’t mess with this guy. Deceiving actually, as he just sits there looking at me as if to say ” Hi, I’ve seen you before”.

I have this vision of a zebra fight I want to capture. I haven’t seen it yet but it’s clear in my mind’s eye. I’ll keep looking. But in the meantime….lets go with this one.

Once upon a time there were two sisters…lionesses they were. One fine day one sister found a strange thing in the long grass. She liked the feel of this thing in her mouth and it was bright red. It was a new plaything unlike any other she had seen or found before. She didn’t know it, but it was a cap belonging to one of those human creatures. The problem was, her sister wanted to play with it too. But no…this sister wasn’t going to let her have it. She hid in the grass and watched her sister approaching. And as she got closer she would hold that bright red thing in her mouth and run away. Her sister tried to pounce. Sometimes she was successful too. But the first sister was more clever and she would look over her shoulder. Eventually she found a nice bush and sat down to play with this thing. Her sister looked for her but got the message that it was not to be shared. The End.
